Reflections on the Bridge Conference & PMDMC 2021

Bridge Conference 2021 – July 14 to 16, 2021 – Virtual
This year, Bridge Conference was held virtually July 14th and 15th.  The multi-track sessions offered something for everyone!  Donor engagement, cyber security, and fundraising in a pandemic were just some of the sessions that were presented.  ROI Solutions very own Sarah Birnie had the honor of presenting “Like a Boss: Managing your CRM Implementation for Success” alongside Alan Gordon of National Trust for Historical Preservation and Geoff Garcia from the March of Dimes.  In addition, Lee Gartley from ROI Solutions MiLo Team presented alongside Susan Paine from Human Rights Campaign and in collaboration with Accessible Intelligence’s Jenn Morrison and Rainforest Action Network’s Angela Stoutenburgh on “Action-Oriented Artificial Intelligence: Converting Donors with AI Insights”.  If you attended Bridge Conference, we hope you had the opportunity to see these sessions, and if not, we recorded them for your viewing pleasure.

PMDMC 2021 – July 13 to 21, 2021 – Virtual
What a great conference we attended! There were three main themes for this year’s PMDMC: overcoming the challenges of a year+ in a pandemic both from a fundraising perspective and analyzing viewer/listener fluctuations; increasing inclusion and overcoming the perceived fears around more diverse programming; and accepting the reality that younger audiences have different viewing/listening habits and need to be reached via different vehicles (podcasts, streaming, etc.). We recommend strongly that folks look up Brit Barron, who spoke during the opening keynote on overcoming fears. Brit is an emotional, empowering speaker and kicked off the conference with inspiring energy.
