Meet the ROI Solutions 2025 Summer Interns

ROI Solutions | 2025 Interns

Long time no see! I am thrilled to return to ROI Solutions this summer, and even more thrilled to introduce two new interns to the team. ROI continues its commitment to professional development by providing meaningful internship opportunities for ambitious students. These internships help young professionals, like myself, understand the nonprofit sector and allow us to see firsthand how a company like ROI Solutions can power social impact through various roles and skill sets.

This year, ROI is pleased to have three interns (including me) who will spend the summer here:

Ryan Ackerley

Ryan Ackerley joins us from the Rochester Institute of Technology as our Machine Learning Intern, working with Ben McCartney and his team. Ryan is currently pursuing a Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science.

“My goal for this internship is to gain a better understanding of how machine learning can be used to answer a wide array of nonprofit demands. I am looking to build my skills in data analysis through the real-world experience I will gain here at ROI. I am most looking forward to helping MiLo improve nonprofits efficiency of acquiring and maintaining donors.”

Richard Wu

Richard Wu joins us from the Wentworth Institute of Technology as our Client Services Intern. Richard is also pursuing a Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science and will be joining Paul Soucy and his team.

During my time at ROI Solutions, I’m hoping to deepen my understanding of Revolution CRM and how it supports nonprofit fundraising efforts. I’m also looking forward to improving my data analysis skills, such as SQL, to help manage, interpret, and deliver meaningful insights from internal datasets. This internship is a great opportunity for me to apply and expand my technical skills in a real-world setting while contributing to projects that make a difference.

McKenna Couch

McKenna Couch has rejoined us from Emerson College as our Marketing and Business Development Assistant, working with Derek Drockelman. McKenna is pursuing a Bachelor’s degree in Business of Creative Enterprises, with a minor in Nonprofit Communication.

“I couldn’t be more thrilled to be back at ROI this summer! I’m so excited to continue my journey at ROI to work again with some of our amazing clients, become involved in some of the exciting new opportunities, and communicate all of the important strides ROI is making in the nonprofit technology sector! I feel so grateful for the opportunity to have direct involvement with such an innovative company at a crucial time in our history for a second time.”

Stay tuned for our capstone projects at the end of our internships! I think I speak for all of us when I say we couldn’t be more excited for what’s to come this summer.
