In a previous position, the organization I worked for went through a database conversion, which didn’t go as well as we had planned. So, when I interviewed at Special Olympics, I was told one of the first things we’d be working on was a database conversion. I was still feeling wounded from my previous experience but was ready to help tackle this project. As we went through our selection process, I learned that many on our ROI Solutions team had prior experience with Special Olympics and historical knowledge that I didn’t have coming in; I knew we were in good hands. It was a seamless process, and the ROI Solutions team restored my faith in how a database conversion can go.
Before the transition to Revolution CRM, Special Olympics faced numerous challenges. Our sustainers were managed in one system, while planned giving was handled in another. Integration with our online fundraising system was a struggle, and reconciliation with our finance department was cumbersome. The system also helped us clean up duplicate records. However, since the implementation of Revolution CRM, we have a reliable single system of record, significantly improving our supporter engagement and instilling confidence in our operations.
One of the most rewarding aspects of our partnership with ROI Solutions is the sense of camaraderie and shared goals. As a lean internal team at Special Olympics, we heavily rely on our partnerships. When we enter into a collaboration, we seek a team that feels like an extension of our own, not just a contractual obligation. The commitment and dedication of ROI Solutions have exceeded our expectations, and we are thrilled to have them as part of our team.
