Q1 Krypto Employee Awards Announcement

ROI Solutions | Q1 Krypto Employee Awards Announcement

On May 14th at our All Hands Meeting, ROI Solutions awarded our quarterly Krypto Awards, our employee recognition program recognizing those who exemplify our core values of Quality & Client Focus, People, Teamwork & Collaboration, Improvement & Efficiency, and Innovation. For comic book nerds, the award is named after Superman’s dog, Krypto. Our selection criteria for nominees were based on how the nominee’s actions align with the award category, the impact of the nominee’s contributions on the team, department, company, or clients, endorsements from colleagues and supervisors, and good standing with the company.

We are pleased to announce four winners in the last quarter, and we are so proud of their contribution to the ROI Solutions team. The descriptions and winners for this quarter’s awards are:

Quality and Client Focus:

For outstanding client service and dedication to meeting clients’ needs.

Winner:
Simon Nelson

Simon Nelson has been a quiet powerhouse behind some of ROI’s most critical operations this year. His exceptional dedication and precision were instrumental in navigating the complex PCI DSS 4.0 compliance audit, a major leap in security standards. Simon worked behind the scenes, ensuring every requirement was met with accuracy and professionalism.

In addition to his pivotal role in compliance, Simon also played a key part in launching a collaborative Finance mailbox, a project that significantly improved our client communication and internal collaboration. Despite the timing overlapping with the intense audit period, Simon stepped up without hesitation, working tirelessly to troubleshoot and implement solutions.

His calm, collaborative approach and unwavering commitment to quality, efficiency, and teamwork make him a standout contributor. Simon’s work not only keeps us compliant and secure but also elevates how we present ourselves to clients.

People, Teamwork, and Collaboration:

For exceptional contributions to team success and people development.

Winner:
Dina Briscoe, Ji Lee, Karen Taggart

This outstanding trio has been instrumental in redefining the way our teams collaborate across Client Services, Professional Services, and Product. Dina has taken the lead on the CS side, not only helping shape the new workflow but also guiding and educating the CS team through the changes. Meanwhile, Karen and Ji have kept the Product team aligned, creating clear documentation and process flow diagrams to ensure everyone is on the same page.

Their work is thoughtful, iterative, and deeply collaborative—an excellent example of cross-functional teamwork at its best. Thank you, Dina, Karen, and Ji, for your dedication and for driving meaningful improvements in how we work together!

Improvement and Efficiency:

For implementing processes that significantly increase efficiency.

Winner(s):
Kevin Maloney

Kevin Maloney has been a driving force behind some of the most impactful technical advancements at ROI in recent months (and frankly over the last 20+ years). His work has transformed our tech stack, including:

  • Migrating our entire system’s messaging infrastructure from one solution to another.
  • Developing a seamless approach to converting Quicksight dashboards from Redshift to Snowflake.
  • Designing a serverless solution to reduce risk around encrypted uploads.

Perhaps most impressively, Kevin cracked the code on automating the migration of client dashboards, something many thought could only be done manually. This breakthrough significantly accelerates our ability to transition our Unite Analytics clients from Redshift to Snowflake, delivering huge value to both ROI and our clients.

Despite these major accomplishments, Kevin stays focused on solving the next challenge rather than seeking the spotlight. His curiosity, creativity, and quiet determination embody the spirit of innovation. We can’t wait to see what he tackles next!

Innovation:

For demonstrating creativity and innovation in their work.

Winner(s):
Lee Gartley

Lee Gartley has been an instrumental force at ROI Solutions, bringing visionary leadership and deep expertise in nonprofit analytics to every initiative he touches. As the head of our MiLo Analytics machine learning program, Lee has helped clients generate millions in revenue while cutting mailing and production costs, leveraging cutting-edge predictive analytics to more precisely target potential donors. His ability to translate complex data into clear, actionable insights is a key reason our clients place such trust in his work.

Most recently, Lee has played a pivotal role in the development and launch of Epiphany Benchmarking, a transformative new service created in collaboration with CDP. Epiphany delivers monthly, actionable insights that empower nonprofits to refine their fundraising strategies in real time, far surpassing the traditional model of annual analysis. Lee’s thoughtful contributions shaped compelling messaging and collateral that truly resonate with our audience, a testament to his sharp focus on quality and innovative spirit.

Lee consistently brings fresh ideas and unwavering dedication to every project. His professionalism, collaborative spirit, and genuine kindness have left a lasting impact not only on the success of our initiatives, but on the people fortunate enough to work with him.

Congratulations to all! We are proud to have you here at ROI Solutions.
