The ROI Solutions family continues to grow, and two of our newest members are integral parts of the public media landscape. Please join us in welcoming WAMU and WEDU!
WAMU 88.5 is the leading public radio station for NPR news and information in the greater Washington D.C. area. Since 1961, WAMU has served an audience of listeners that now totals almost one million listeners on-air, online, and on-demand, producing regular and special programming that reflects the unique environment of the region. As the sixth member of the Educational Radio Network — the predecessor to National Public Radio — WAMU is a respected and trusted voice in the world of traditional and emerging media, recognized for its commitment to serving the community with balanced, enlightening, inspiring, and entertaining programs of the highest possible quality. WAMU-produced programs such as The Kojo Nnamdi Show, The Diane Rehm Show, 1A, and Diane Rehm: On My Mind need no introduction.
Nancy Feldman, WAMU’s Gift Specialist (Membership) is an enthusiastic fan of Revolution Online’s FlexNotes, Aliases, Ticklers, and particularly of the Workplace Giving Upload. Wynde Priddy, Assistant Director of Membership, Fundraising notes that now, “For on-air fundraising, we are better able to manage our campaign setup and we can also more easily see and retrieve campaign results afterward. We’re tracking things in a more elegant way for meaningful reporting after each campaign.”
WEDU PBS is West Central Florida’s PBS station reaching 16 counties and providing a wealth of award-winning inspirational, educational, and enlightening content. Focused on the local Tampa Bay community, WEDU is a treasured resource, a window to the world, and a vital educational source for everyone. In addition to its main PBS channel, WEDU also offers World, Create, PBS Kids, and The Florida Channel, plus online and social media content. Since 1958, WEDU has been educating, informing, and enriching lives.
Claire O’Connor, WEDU’s Senior Vice President of Development shared her impressions on the implementation process, “Our transition from our legacy system to ROI has been relatively seamless. The ROI team prepared a solid conversion plan and worked closely with WEDU to ensure a smooth transition and migration to the new system. We have been able to reevaluate outdated business processes and develop a philanthropic business model that will lead to increased revenue and expanded opportunities.”
We are thrilled to have both WAMU and WEDU join us, and we look forward to continuing to serve our growing number of Public Media clients as they spread the good word through quality programming!
