Karen Engstrom
SVP, Product Innovation
Karen has over 25 years’ experience identifying, implementing, and managing enterprise information solutions for nonprofit and for-profit organizations. As Senior Vice President of Product Innovation, she is actively listening to client needs in order to identify and prioritize product enhancements and complementing solutions that enable these organizations to leverage their constituent information for greater mission success.
Prior to joining ROI Solutions in August 2014, Karen was the CRM program manager for American Lung Association, a ROI Solutions client. While there she led the conversion from a homegrown donor management system onto ROI Solutions as a nationwide CRM solution that managed not only donor information but also volunteer and program interactions. Karen has also worked in a similar capacity at Special Olympics International, where she partnered with the Chief Development Officer to pilot a collaborative fundraising initiative with their affiliate programs. In addition to her work on staff at nonprofit organizations, she has also consulted with several organizations on the identification of their business requirements and CRM software selection.
Prior to shifting her career into the nonprofit sector, Karen worked for several years at Marriott Corporation and related spin-off companies. It was here that she honed her skills in enterprise information systems management, change management, and business process design. She also acquired her MS in Business Management and Strategic Marketing while working at Marriott.
Karen is passionate about addressing mission needs by translating raw data into information, and creating efficient processes that help our clients accomplish more.
