Since our partnership with Contributor Development Partnership (CDP) began, we have found more and more ways to align our services to further benefit public media organizations, including integrations to other essential products and services. TVault, Transaction Vault, is a platform managed by PBS, where donor and transaction data that comes to member stations from multiple PBS sources is made available to stations and third-party partners. Previously, CDP had extracted donor and transaction data from TVault and pushed it into Salesforce NGOC via an automated process that has been deprecated. This process will be replaced with an integration from TVault and Revolution CRM.
To enhance efficiency and accessibility, we are launching a new, one-way sync between TVault and Revolution CRM. This process will run several times daily, ensuring that constituent information and donations processed through PBS’s TVault platform are seamlessly transferred to Revolution CRM.
Key details of the integration include:
- Frequency: The integration will run multiple times daily.
- Access: Donors to your station will be accessible via your station’s TVault credentials.
- Donation Management: TVault will manage one-time and recurring donations, with notational pledges synced to Revolution CRM.
- Refunds: Refunds for these transactions will be handled through the TVault platform and manually entered into Revolution CRM. Future integration possibilities for refunds via the TVault API will be evaluated and scoped separately later.
These are the data updates that will be handled through this sync:
-
- Add new individual accounts
-
- Update existing Constituent records: Name, Address, and Contact Information (Phone and Email)
-
- Add batches of transactions that have already been charged
-
- Add pledges and associated pledge payments
Updates will be automatically processed. The results will be available for review in the Web Services section of Revolution CRM on the pending and completed sync screens.
We believe this integration will significantly improve data management efficiency, and we are excited to see how it will improve how our public media clients engage with their supporters! It also helps to lay the groundwork for future integrations like NPR/Stripe, so stay tuned for future developments!
