Progress Report: Unite Analytics Early Adopters

ROI Solutions | Progress Report: Unite Analytics Early Adopters

The recent October Unite Analytics Early Adopter Meeting brought together various organizations to share insights on the dashboards and reports they’ve developed using Unite Analytics. This gathering showcased the diversity of data-driven decision-making approaches and highlighted the creative innovation of some of our early adopters.

Key Takeaways

The participating organizations have created a wide range of dashboards and reports, covering critical areas such as fundraising, membership, and audience engagement, pulling together data from disparate sources, including Revolution CRM, Engaging Networks, PBS Passport, Google Analytics, email platforms, and other sources. Most participants are distributing these reports through Unite Analytics, with some also enabling access through the Analysis tab of Revolution CRM.

Highlighted Accomplishments from Early Adopters

PETA

ROI Solutions | PETA

PETA’s dashboards are data powerhouses, using custom tables and calculations extensively to monitor fundraising, advocacy, email, and new supporter activity. These dashboards are designed with usability in mind—each report includes thorough documentation explaining the underlying metrics and filters. Pivot tables allow for flexible drill-downs, providing users with granular insights.

Twin Cities PBS

ROI Solutions | PBS TPT

Twin Cities PBS has developed a series of dashboards to manage membership, troubleshoot issues, and profile donors. A standout use case to support their upcoming campaign is their use of paginated reports to generate one-sheet donor profiles, which are both insightful and printable. The profiles incorporate data from all sources to provide a comprehensive picture of the prospect’s engagement with Twin Cities PBS.

Connecticut Public

ROI Solutions | Connecticut Public

Connecticut Public’s dashboards offer a comprehensive look into its operations, with reports on performance, audience data, membership, and events. It integrates data from various sources, including PBS Passport, Nielsen, Google Analytics, and SurveyMonkey. It plans to incorporate even more audience data via APIs from systems whose data has proven challenging to ingest.

WHYY

ROI Solutions | WHYY

WHYY has focused on developing an executive summary dashboard that tracks key performance metrics over a rolling 365-day period. Their sustainer trends and PBS Passport-specific dashboards provide valuable insights for tracking donor engagement. They’ve also implemented a donor penetration map by zip code (it’s gorgeous), which is being used to target campaigns more effectively.

Looking Ahead

The meeting highlighted various dashboard creation and data management approaches within Unite Analytics. Organizations constantly push the boundaries of what’s possible, from solving fiscal year calculation issues to exploring new integrations and report distribution methods. While the tools and approaches vary, all organizations are united in their mission to leverage data for more effective fundraising, membership management, and audience engagement.

We look forward to seeing further innovations and sharing more best practices in future meetings! Stay tuned for upcoming updates on the Unite Analytics product roadmap and feel free to reach and find out more.

Note: USGA was not able to attend our last meeting, so we look forward to learning about their many accomplishments at our next meeting.
